What are xSense products?
xSense products are precisely dosed collections of natural essential oil scents and jojoba oil, with each scent scientifically found to improve aspects of work or study, play or exercise, rest or de-stressing, creating a more pleasant room ambiance.
Why are there men's and women's versions?
Because research suggested that men and women respond differently to the same scent, we adjusted each formula—that said, if you had the opposite sex version on hand you could still get the benefits, just possibly at a different level.
How are xSense products made?
Are xSense products safe?
All our personal product scents have undergone extensive testing for safety, stability and skin compatibility and meet or exceed present industry and government safety levels at initial launch. Some common-sense instructions: if you have irritated, raw or broken skin due to shaving nicks, skin treatments, acne or other disorder, or if you’re under care for a medical condition, please consult your physician. Like all cosmetic products we recommend patch testing on your forearm before use.
Yeah, but do they work?
Ingredients in all of our xSense products have been carefully chosen and combined in a proprietary formula to enhance benefits. Each was chosen based upon published scientific studies. While the specific way each works is only partly known and continues to be researched in many cases, it appears that different scents may stimulate specific areas of the brain. What are the exact benefits I could expect?
Scents in each of our products have demonstrable key benefits in scientific studies: For WorkSense, learning new information (half of which we forget in one hour) improved by 30% in the short-term and by 40% in the longer term vs. placebo; accuracy improved by 5%, and efficiency improved by 15%; for PlaySense, speed and endurance improved significantly, up to 5%; for RestSense, stress was reduced (by over 50%, with effect lasting days after use) and the brain was more relaxed towards a meditative state (brain slowing towards a light sleep state, or theta waves, globally up to 30%). Every potential benefit has a scientific basis, with some relevant background provided under the SCIENCE section.
So what scientific evidence supports your claims?
See our SCIENCE section for more information, but in short, ingredients in each product were carefully selected based on many selective independently performed, prospective, randomized, placebo-controlled scientific studies that showed significant benefit. While the exact mechanism for every ingredient isn't known, it appears that some ingredients may stimulate areas of the brain, potentially resulting in the desired effect.
How do you apply them?
xSense products come in two varieties: (1) personal roll-on and (2) diffusers. For the roll-on, simply pump till oil droplets appear on the rollerball (indicating precise dose being delivered), then apply to area under nose onto upper lip (as this is the quickest breathing pathway from the skin to the brain, for effect). For the diffuser, simply use one of our personal diffusers with interchangeable xSense refills to experience.

How long does a single xSense application last?
High ingredient levels are maintained for 8 hours (with highest concentration and potential effect present during the first hour after application for each of WorkSense, PlaySense, and RestSense ingredients, with an additional lasting stress reduction effect lasting several days for RestSense).
Can I wear xSense products with my favorite perfume or aftershave?
Of course! That’s what many of us do, and that’s why we designed the concentrated formula to be applied directly under your nose so that you can get the benefits from xSense products, and still wear your favorite fragrances on other body areas.

We thought you’d ask. We have a deluxe sample size that has enough oil for at least 4 applications of each of the 3 products.
How is xSense offered?
Currently xSense is offered in 2 delivery methods: first, via a personal applied roll-on in formulas for men and women; second, via a whole-room unisex personal diffuser that is great for larger areas such as the office, fitness studio, or spa... (contact us if you are interested in the corporate diffusion option, which is already being used, for example, in New York's Park Avenue offices and the CrossFit Hamptons gym, and we will be happy to discuss further).
What sizes do you offer?
Personal roll-ons contain 10ml (about 1/3 ounce) which should last 40 days with single-dose application. These are also available as a set of 3 deluxe samples, each good for at least 4 applications. The samples provide one each of WorkSense, PlaySense and RestSense. The personal diffuser option is offered via the xSense Personal Diffuser with 10-ml refills sold separately. Is it possible to sample xSense?
Of course. We offer a deluxe set of 3 multi-use vials. A deluxe set includes one each of WorkSense, PlaySense and RestSense so you can try all 3 products in your life. Choose from men’s or women’s formulas when you order personal products.
